Is Cognos Transformer a "dead" Technology?

I don't think so due to 5 major pros of Cognos Cubes mentioned below, please share you thoughts on this too..
We all know that the world of OLAP is changing, and has been since the days when Transformer was the leading solution for rapid OLAP deployment. As we look at the modern OLAP landscape, we recognize that there are now myriad options available to us, and this can make your selection of the right solution quite challenging. Well, for those of you that have invested in IBM Cognos Business Intelligence, the following options are available to you:
- Transformer
- OLAP Over Relational (OOR), or Dimensionally Modeled Relational (DMR)
- Dynamic Cubes
- TM1
We can even use our favorite Cognos tools on top of 3rd party OLAP sources such as Microsoft Analysis Services and Hyperion Essbase. So, what advantages does Transformer have? Here are the top five benefits we see for adoption of Transformer for OLAP:

1. Rapid Development: Transformer is a very easy to use, graphical modeling tool that can be mastered by just about any business analyst with minimal training. PowerCubes can be modeled and deployed against modest data volumes in a matter of days. This is especially valuable when an OLAP prototype must be delivered quickly and can help us drive meaningful requirements as part of a successful long-term Analytics implementation.
2. Data Source Flexibility: One of the biggest challenges we are seeing with the widespread adoption of analytics across the enterprise is with integrating various data sources, including desktop-based “flat” files such as spreadsheets and text files, into our enterprise data infrastructure. Cognos Transformer provides organizations with the flexibility to combine disparate sources, integrate with centralized metadata, and deploy OLAP solutions at the department-level, keeping the ownership of analytics in the hands of the subject-matter experts. We don’t have to rely on data architects to redesign or increment a data warehouse before we can move forward with our analytics initiatives.
3. Performance and Portability: One key differentiator for the OLAP approach that is used with Transformer is that we deliver pre-aggregated, consolidated data sources (PowerCubes) that are heavily indexed and optimized for performance at run-time. By stripping out details and leveraging compression, indexing, and partitioning, PowerCubes are designed to deliver sub-second responses and encourage data exploration. PowerCubes can also be deployed directly to individual desktops for off-line access. Ease of deployment also facilitates rapid prototyping, testing, and migration across multiple environments. The IBM Cognos 10 query engine has been significantly improved and allows for read-time caching.
4. Robust Security Integration and Deployment Options: If you need to secure data in the OLAP layer, Transformer offers a powerful security model that integrates with whichever authentication provider you may be using. Suppress, Exclude, Cloak, Summarize, or Apex views can be applied as needed in order to secure data dynamically based on user, group, or role membership. We also have the option to deliver customized PowerCubes and Cube Groups to different users while leveraging a single model of our business.
5. Time Dimension Customization: One of the more common challenges with analytics is performing consistent time-based comparative analyses. Transformer provides a very convenient interface for modeling your Time dimension based on your business calendar. More importantly, Transformer gives us a simple, yet powerful, relative time capability. Defining dynamic relative time is painless and straightforward.
